The sun of the near future on your screen, live from sunstream.tv.
Download the screensaver for your operating system.
Installation:
Sunstream.scr and choose Install.Windows may say the publisher is unknown. Choose More info > Run anyway.
Does it not start by itself? Windows never starts a screen saver while a video,
a video call or an app like Teams keeps the screen awake. Close it, or check with
powercfg /requests.
Installation (macOS 11 Big Sur or newer, Intel and Apple Silicon):
Sunstream.saver.macOS warns because the screensaver is not notarised by Apple. Alternatively, in Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/Sunstream.saver
Installation:
tar -xzf Sunstream-Linux.tar.gz./sunstream-linux/Sunstream.AppImage --no-sandbox./sunstream-linux/sunstream-idle.sh 10 (minutes).
To do this at every login, see the README inside.Works with GNOME (also Wayland), KDE and other X11 desktops. Some systems need sudo apt install libfuse2.
All versions show the live website, so they always show today's sun. An internet connection is needed. BETA versions are not tested on every system yet: if something does not work, let us know.
